KEDGE Business School is a triple-accredited (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA) French business school and grande école. The school was founded in 2013. it is the result of a merger of two of the earliest business schools in existence: BEM (Bordeaux Management School) in Bordeaux founded in 1874 and EUROMED Management in Marseilles founded in 1872. KEDGE Business Club, the Paris-based campus was opened in the year 2015.

The ISC Paris business school was inaugurated in the autumn of 1963 at 6 Avenue Léon Heuzey, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Founded by Paul Icard, director of the Institute of Industrial Sale Psychology, with the goal of training "business executives adapted to the methods of modern business”. In 1975, ISC Paris moved to its current location. The Institut Superieur du Commerce was rebranded as the ISC Group.

In 1957, Professor John Douglas Story, vice chancellor of the University of Queensland, proposed a regional university college be established to cater to the people of North Queensland. On 27 February 1961, the University College of Townsville was opened. After being proclaimed as an Act of the Queensland Parliament, the University College of Townsville became the James Cook University of North Queensland. The university's main fields of research include environmental sciences, biological sciences, mathematical sciences, earth sciences, agricultural and veterinary sciences, technology, and medical and health sciences.

It received assent on 20 April 1970. In 1997 the Department of Education proceeded with the remaking of Acts of Queensland universities. As a result, the James Cook University Act 1997 received assent from the Governor in Council on 29 August 1997 and was promulgated on 1 January 1998.
